Gav Renshaw Win's the 2009 MLR Sprint Series

NR Autosport customer Gav Renshaw wins the 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Register Sprint Series.

After winning the 2007 and 2008 MLR Sprint Series Gav decided to up the game by having our Stage 1 Fast Road Forged Engines fitted. This proved to be the right decision keeping him ahead of the pursuing pack. With 450 bhp on tap Gav won the 2009 series by 3 points in a very closely fought battle in his Evo 5 RS. Gav picked up a cheque for £500, well done Gav from all the team at NR. We look forward to seeing you (oh and the £500) soon!

MLR Sprint @ Teeside report

30 Evos competed in the 2nd Round of the 2009 MLR Sumo Power Sprint Series. Knoxville in his Evo 5 RS achieved the fastest time of the day with a time of 54.47s.

Asking Gav about the day he said:

“It was a dry day and the track was very slippery in the morning for practice runs. I ran low boost and took passengers round with my road tyres and times were around 60 seconds.

After lunch and a change to Dunlop semi slicks my first timed run was in the 55s and I went straight into 1st position. I did a few more runs and got down in the 54sec bracket and won the day by over 1 second”.
